Tied for the title of "favorite band" with LUNA SEA in my book, BT has been around for the better part of 20 years now. They're one of the founding VK/j-rock bands along with LUNA SEA, X-JAPAN, Zi:Kill, Kuroyume, etc. Their sound was very much like the band Boowy, but around 1992 they transformed themselves to develope their own style. BUCK-TICK was the first VK-ish band to ever play the Tokyo Dome, as well as the first to use "hidden tracks" (people actually tried to return their CDs because they thought they were broken.). Unfortunately, their popularity among western J-rock fans is small, but remain a strong musical power in Japans music scene.
BUCK-TICK have released 15 full length albums and 23 singles (which I will gladly take requests for to place in the downloads section).
